Player Review
Applefield showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in GA on December 18th, 2016. He shows good power with his legs and is already using his lower half pretty well for his age. Applefield's explosion is very solid and he is aggressive when he snaps the ball. Love to see him focus on locking down his spiral and making sure he is leaning back a bit more so he doesn't fall forward with all of his force. Very good upside and he should do really well at VEGAS XXIXAccomplishments

VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 15.66
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
