Player Review
Peter showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a long athlete with a frame that will be able to put on some good weight over the next couple of years before college. His feet were good during the agility section of the weekend and he moved laterally well. Love to see Peter extend the ball a bit to create more whip and speed. Ball is so close that he ends up hitching to get some extension and that really slows down the time for a 15 yard punt snap. TONS of potential and he should easily be able to raise his RSI in CA on March 5th and at VEGAS 30 with this easy fix.Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: 1.08VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.36
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 16.87
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
