Maddie had a great weekend at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. Maddie is a true athlete that flew through the agility section of the weekend. He will definitely be a factor on the punt coverage team. Love to see him continue to put on size so he can withstand a major college rush. Locking down his release point will be huge to increase his overall RSI score throughout the year and get the accuracy in line with his great speed. Maddie is darn good and should be a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper by VEGAS 30.

Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
