Player Review
Howell is a large, strong man that did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. Looks like a college athlete right now and he still has a year of high school ball left in him. Starting form is solid and he is using his upper half well. Needs to make sure he is following all the way through with each snap to really increase his accuracy and raise his RSI. He is so strong that he likes to flick the ball back to the punter instead of using all of his lower half to put a hole in the punter. When it clicks for Howell, he will absolutely dominate his class and easily pick up a spot at the TOP 12 Camp at VEGAS 30. Kid is absolutely dripping with potential.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
