Player Review
Murphy showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a long athlete with a frame that could easily put on some good weight over the next couple of years to get him ready for the college level athlete coming at him. Murphy is overflowing with potential but needs to really focus on his consistency of his snaps. He has some REALLY good snaps and some average ones...I want to see them all tremendous at VEGAS 30 in May and I know he can do it. Form is good and he is using his whole body well. Needs to make sure he is leaning back a bit more and that he is able to control his body more through the agility section. Right on the cusp of greatness and could be the sleeper of his class.
Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .92
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.27
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 17.28

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
