Player Review
Aaron Perez (9-24):Matthew continues to both improve and impress. He has a great frame and a big leg capability. At the Fall Los Angeles Punt camp Matthew was solid throughout the day. During training at camp Matthew hit punts of 47 4.56, 40 4.3 and 46 4.44. He hit a good ball direction right 55 4.46 as well. During charting his best two punts were 46 4.03 and 41 4.4. I believe Matthew is right on the brink of being truly dominant. Continued work on his hands, overall rhythm and control will make him up there with the best in this class.
Matthew is a very talented high school punting prospect. He is big, tall, strong and athletic. He has a great frame for a college level punter. Matthew punts for a nice combination of distance and hang time. His best ball measures 45+ yards, with 4.4+ hang time. There is nice upside here. Also a capable kicker. Look for Matthew to have a big senior season. College football is in his future with continued hard work. He is always a pleasure to work with. Strong prospect.
