Player Review

Marcus is an excellent high school kicking and punting prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a live leg. Marcus does a great job on field goal, a strength. He get the ball up well and has 50+ yard range off the ground. His kickoffs are solid. Marcus drives the ball 60+ yards, with 3.8+ hang time. Also a developing punter. Marcus punts for a nice combination of distance and hang time. A competitor who does well under pressure. He continues to make big strides with our CSK Staff each time we see him. I expect him to stay on this path. Marcus has a bright college future with continued hard work. Look for him to have a big 2023 off season with Chris Sailer Kicking. He has the ability to challenge for a TOP 12 Camp Spot at Vegas XLI in May. Marcus is a fine young man with a great attitude and work ethic. One to keep a close eye on. Nice combo prospect.

Aaron Perez (10-22):
Marcus has improved dramatically as a punter to the point where I think he can compete with anyone in this class on his day. Marcus has gotten stronger and mentally is rock-solid. During the Fall CA Punt Camp Marcus was hitting many balls 40+ yards 4.0+ seconds of hangtime. His two best balls during open-field work were 39 4.35 and 39 4.08. Directionally Marcus takes a good line and can hit balls consistently to the numbers 38+ yards. Marcus is also solid with plus-field punts and had a 3.84 drop-punt from the +45 yard line land at the 12. Overall very impressed and pleased with Marcus' development.
