Player Review
Matthew is an excellent high school punting and kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a bright college future. Matthew has a great frame for a college level punter. He punts for a nice combination of distance and hang time. He is smooth with the ball and punts with nice consistency. Matthew continues to shows great improvement as a punter each time we see him. Also a more than capable kicker. He does a nice job on field goal. He hits an accurate ball off the ground and has 50+ yard range. His kickoffs are coming along nicely. All the tools are there to continue to move up the rankings. I look forward to seeing what the future holds. Look for Matthew to have strong showing at Vegas XL in May. He should challenge for a TOP 12 Camp Invitation. Matthew is a fine young man with a great attitude and work ethic. One to keep a close eye on. One of the hardest workers out there. Matthew is a very talneted and improving young punter. Matthew has come a long way in the last year. He now punts very smooth, two-step and gets great distance on the ball. Matthew is very coachable as well. During a recent evaluation and at the Underclassmen Invitational in Dallas, Matthew showed his improvement. Matthew hit many balls 50+ yards in Dallas and his best punts were 55 4.4 and 51 4.56. In the evaluation Matthew continued to hit big punts and had a punt go 52 4.41. Matthew is improving as well going inside the 20 with his drop punts. Matthew will continue to rise in the rankings if he develops in the weight room and gets his hangtime to match his distance.
