Player Review

Johnny is a very good young high school kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with excellent natural ability. Johnny does a nice job on field goal, a strength. He hits an accurate ball off the ground. His kickoffs are coming along nicely. Johnny is close to earning a 4.0-Star Rating. The tools are there to do so. Also a developing Punter. Johnny is a competitor who enjoys pressure. He is improving each time we see him. I expect him to stay on this path. Johnny is a fine young man who is a great pleasure to work with. Look for him to have strong showings at Vega XL in May and the Underclassmen Invitational in July. One to watch. Nice prospect.

Aaron Perez (10-21):
Johnny is a young, developing punter who had a good day at his first CA Punt camp. Johnny is very explosive and a great athlete. He has good hands and is a two-step punter. During training at camp, Johnny hit his best punt 35 3.67 and hit most between 35 and 40 yards. He also was decent while learning directional punting and hit a solid 31 4.01 ball going right. During charting Johnny averaged 3.46 seconds of hangtime which is very promising. Johnny can continue to perfect his drop and overall mechanics as well as get more downfield with the ball to match his solid hangtimes.
