Player Review
Gavin is an excellent high school punting prospect. He is big, tall, strong and athletic. Gavin has an ideal frame for a college level punter. He punts for a nice combination of distance and hang time. Gavin averages 40+ yards, with 4.5+ hang time. Gavin is showing steady improvement each time we see him. I expect him to stay on this path. Look for Gavin to dominate his junior season. He has the ability to challenge for a TOP 12 Spot at Vegas XLIII in January. Gavin is a fine young man who is always a great pleasure to work with. Gavin is a very coachable, talented young punter. He is growing and getting stronger since we last saw him in the Fall. At the CA Spring Punt camp Gavin performed well. During training at camp Gavin hit punts of 35 3.9, 35 4.53 and 31 4.32. Gavin has a great swing and really uses his frame ot get up through the ball. During charting Gavin's two best punts were 35 3.33 and 36 3.35. Gavin has loads of potential. We need to quicken up his hands and shorten his footwork but the sky is the limit for this big, young punter.
