Player Review
LJ is an excellent junior college punting and kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a strong leg. I really like his ability as a punter. He hits a consistent ball. LJ punts for a nice combination of distance and hang time. His best ball is D1 ready. Also a solid kicker. He hits an accurate ball off the ground and has 50+ yard range. His kickoffs are solid. I like his upside. He is a fine young man who is always a great pleasure to work with. Nice combo prospect. Nice pick up for Idaho.Aaron Perez (10-22):
LJ has now moved into Ventura College and is continuing to improve each time we see him. At the Fall CA Punt Camp LJ was smooth and consistent, even having played the night before. LJ is a two-step punter who can hit balls 45+ yards and over 4.5 seconds of hangtime. During the open-field portion of camp LJ hit two good punts, one was 37 4.11 and the other was 44 4.32. LJ is solid directionally and has compact footwork. LJ hit several drop-punts 4+ seconds of hangtime and has great control going in. LJ can continue to get stronger and make his drop more consistent but I am very pleased with his development.
