Player Review
Derek is a talented high school kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a strong leg. He does an excellent job on field goal. Derek hits a clean ball off the ground and has 55+ yard range. His kickoffs are coming along nicely, nearing college ready. Derek is averaging 60+ yards, with 3.5+ hang time. Also a capable punter. Just needs to work on getting more consistent distance. A competitor that does well under pressure. Derek is showing steady improvement each time we see him. He has a bright college future with continued hard work. I look forward to seeing what the future holds. Derek is a fine young man that is always a great pleasure to work with. One of the hardest workers out there. Strong prospect. Nice pick up for Southern Virginia.
