Player Review

George showed me some great things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. Kid moves well on his feet going forward and will be able to really increase his lateral movement by lowering his hips. Form is good and he does a nice job of reaching all the way through. Love to see George focus on locking down his release point to increase his accuracy and get his RSI up in IL on April 23 and at VEGAS 30 in May. George is very good and could maneuver himself into position for a TOP 12 Camp spot.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
