Player Review
Dixon showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a large Long Snapper with good power throughout his body and solid flexibility for a big man. He really does a nice job of getting all the way through to the punter which accounts for his solid accuracy. Love to see Dixon focus on using all of his power and really exploding his lower half to gain some more speed on the ball to raise his RSI at the March 5th camp in CA and at VEGAS 30 in May. Improving his athleticism will push him up the rankings as well. Listens well and has good upside on size and flexibility.Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: 1.06VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.75
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 18.07
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
