Player Review
Codey was very solid at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. His hands are really quick and the ball he delivers is extremely smooth. His punters will love him over the next couple of years. Really want to see Codey not think so much and just snap the ball. His form is good and he needs to trust it and just let the ball fly out of his hands. Moves well on his feet. Increasing his speed and getting his hands to lock down on a release point will be huge for increasing his RSI at VEGAS 30 in May. Tons of upside.Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .89VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.31
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 4.82
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
