Player Review
I liked what I saw out of Walker at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a large man with tons of power throughout his body. Snapping motion is very smooth and he has excellent accuracy and consistency. Every single snap is the exact same...which is a good thing. Uses his body well and gets his eyes through like a champ. Needs to make sure he focuses on improving his overall athleticism to make him more valuable to a college coach on the punt coverage team. Also, trusting his form and snapping with confidence by just letting the ball go will push his speed even more. Great potential on Walker and I am excited to see him move at VEGAS 30 in May. Big jump in the rankings and well deserved.Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .77VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 6.14
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 42.47
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
