Player Review
Walsh had a good overall weekend at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. His starting form is good and he is starting to really use his body well when snapping to the punter. Does a nice job of diving through to the punter to get some solid accuracy on the ball. Speed of the ball is picking up and will increase even more with a tighter spiral. Athletically, Walsh needs to really focus on his hips to ensure he can move laterally to become a better punt coverage guy. Another big jump in the rankings. Keep an eye on Walsh at the April 23 camp in IL and at VEGAS 30 in May.
Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .85
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.70
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 11.25

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
