Player Review
Shaw did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. His feet are very quick through the agility section of the weekend and he moves with a purpose. Like to see him gain a bit more control of his body as he is moving but I like his drive. Snapping wise, he has VERY good form to start and is using his whole body well. By the time I see him in IL on April 23, I would like to have Shaw a bit quicker with the start of his snap. At times, he can have a slight hitch which will trigger the defender/timer. I would be shocked if, with that quick fix, he is not under .79 by VEGAS 30 in May and eyeballing a TOP 12 spot. Shaw has a big upside and I like what I see. Keep an eye on him.

Additional Information
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .84
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.48
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 10.71

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
