Player Review

Lau was very solid at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. Kid is a pure athlete that absolutely flies on his feet. No doubt that Lau will be a factor on the punt coverage team. Love to see him make sure he gets fully set with each snap so his CONSISTENCY with his his accuracy and spiral are improved. He has improved quickly and continues to move right on up the rankings ladder. Excellent attitude.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
