Another solid showing for Mike at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in NC on November 20th, 2016. Form is so darn good and, as he continues to grow in body and strength, the ball just gets quicker and quicker. Great attitude and he is always improving.

Mike did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in PA on October 9th, 2016. He handles pressure really well and has a terrific spiral on the ball. Size and strength will be huge for him as we advance. Form is very good and he is using all of his body really well. Increasing his athleticism will push him up the ladder as well. I really want to see Mike start BELIEVING in himself more and snapping with more CONFIDENCE. He is a good Long Snapper that can be great but a major factor is him believing in himself. He got pretty deep into the competition and almost seemed surprised.....he should BELIEVE he will win the whole thing every single time. Right on the cusp of dominating. WONDERFUL student of Long Snapping.

Mike showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Underclassmen Invitational at the IMG Academy in FL in July, 2016. Form is excellent and he is snapping with some good confidence. Easily one of the most accurate and consistent Long Snappers in his class. Needs to make sure he continues to put on size and remain tough so he can withstand a rusher. Snapping with full power and a tight spiral will push him up the rankings even more. Great attitude.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
