Player Review
Ethan showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He can move well on his feet going forward and runs with aggression. Like to see him work on his lateral movement to increase his cutting ability to become a big time factor on punt coverage. Snapping wise, Ethan uses his whole body well and snaps with power. Needs to focus on completely eliminating the hitch so the defender/timer can't jump him. If he was to eliminate his hitch by the April 23rd camp in IL and VEGAS 30 in May, he would be averaging well under .75 for a 15 yard snap and drastically increase his ranking. Ethan has a lot of potential.
Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .82
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.12
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 17.86

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
