Player Review
Tamayo did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He absolutely destroyed the agility section of the weekend and left no doubt that he is a true athlete that can also snap. It was flat out entertaining watching him fly over the bags with ease. His overall form is good when snapping the ball and his hands get out of the gate quickly. Love to see Tamayo focus on getting his elbows through first to create more whip and speed on the ball. Pushing his speed up will help his RSI at the March 5th camp in CA and move him into a great spot for the finals at VEGAS 30 in May. Locking down his spiral will push his speed up as well. Very good potential on Tamayo.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
