Player Review
Simmons did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. Starting form is good and he has solid balance. Nice work in getting his hands out of the gate quickly and sending them all the way back to the punter. Like to see Simmons focus on really driving his eyes/head through quicker with no pauses to get more accuracy and speed. Also, trusting his good form and just letting the ball fly out of his hands will be huge for his speed. CONFIDENCE in himself and his snapping motion will be huge come March 5th in CA and at VEGAS 30. He has all of the tools...he just needs to use them.
Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .92
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.82

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
