Player Review
YANAGI had a nice jump at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a very fluid Long Snapper that uses his body well when snapping on punts. Moves well on his feet and had no trouble with the agility section of the weekend. Yanagi can definitely move and be a factor on the punt coverage team for his HS and college. Like to see him make sure he is always going straight back and not up and back. That will cause issues with overall speed and accuracy which will impact his RSI at VEGAS 30 in May. When Yanagi catches a groove, he catches a serious groove and can with the whole camp. Excellent human being.

VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .77
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.55
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 16.46

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
