Player Review
I liked the improvement I saw out of Zach at VEGAS XXIX on January 14-15, 2017. He snaps a nice, catchable ball and he can move well on his feet. He does a nice job of reaching back to the punter. Smooth ball. Love to see more of his legs get involved and for him to get up quicker after the snap. Headed in the right direction and can make a name for himself at the next level. Solid attitude.

Zach did well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in NC on November 20, 2016. He is a very athletic Long Snapper that moves really on his feet. His hands are quick and the ball gets out the gate well. Love to see him focus on getting fully set and locking down his spiral. Lay down drill will help Zach master the spiral to make the ball faster (slicing through the wind) and more catchable. Very good attitude and tons of upside. Excited to see the tight spiral at VEGAS XXIX.
Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .93
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.48
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 23.26

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
