Player Review
Gibson did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. Starting form is very good and he has solid balance. Love to see him continue to get fully healthy so I can see Gibson show off his athleticism at VEGAS 30 in May. Leading with his elbows and not winding up to snap will increase his speed and get him into the .6s soon. Strong Long Snapper that improves every time I have seen him. Very good kid.Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .74VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 39.73
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
