Player Review
Justin showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS 30 Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a large man that is VERY quick with his snapping motion. He does a great job of getting from Point A to Point Z when he is snapping the ball. Love to see him focus on not gripping the ball so tight so the spiral is not impacted and making sure he increases his athleticism. Good base and his balance is very solid.Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .93VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 7.39
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 25.29
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
