Player Review
Big jump in the rankings for Cervantes and well deserved after what I saw out of him at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. I kid you not, I think Cervantes grew an entire foot in less than a year. Almost didn't even recognize him when he showed up in Vegas. Beyond dripping with potential and could move very quickly into one of the top spots by VEGAS 30. Built really long and he moves well. Needs to make sure he puts on some good weight and doesn't wind up when he is snapping the ball on punts. Using more of his legs and not so much of his upper body will increase his speed and accuracy to raise his RSI in May.
Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .79
VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.60
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 7.50

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
