Player Review
A talent this special doesn't come along often. He is an incredible athlete with the best leg that I have ever seen! David had a great career at USC. He has been even more impressive in his NFL workouts. 1st Kicker taken in the 2009 NFL Draft. Should have a great career in the NFL.Accomplishments

The Trojans received a verbal commitment this morning from Santa Ana College kicker/defensive back David Buehler (6-2, 225) and he will enroll this fall as an incoming sophomore. Click below to read more:
"I just committed to USC this morning," said Buehler. "In fact, I'm heading home from campus right now. I came up this morning to take a tour of the campus, to see the Coliseum, to meet with the coaches and everything. I just felt at home. When I sat down with Coach Carroll he told me he had a scholarship for me, I told him I was honored and overwhelmed and that I would accept it."
Buehler was the top performer at the recent JCFootball.com SoCal combine. He is a great safety prospect in the mold of just-graduated USC safety, Scott Ware. At the combine he measured 6-2, 224, ran a 4.57 on a slow surface, vertical jumped over 35", and did 34 reps at 185.
"I'm coming to USC as a kickoff specialist and I will also get a look at safety. I can do some placekicking too but I'm known mostly for kickoffs. At the Chris Sailer kicking camp last month I won the kickoff competition with a 75 yard average, a 4.32 hangtime and a long of 86 yards."
Buehler was 6th on the team last year in tackles for Santa Ana despite playing in a reserve role at safety. In high school at Canyon of Anaheim, he also played volleyball, golf and ran track. He is looking to major in business at USC.
Buehler also had an offer from Oregon State to come in for the fall semester. He originally planned to play another year at Santa Ana so that he could showcase himself as a safety but once the Trojans offered he said there was no way he could turn it down.
