Player Review
Matthew is an excellent high school punting and kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a bright college future. Matthew has a great frame for a college level punter. He punts for a nice combination of distance and hang time. He is smooth with the ball and punts with great consistency. His best balls measure 50+ with 5.0+ hang time. Matthew continues to shows great improvement as a punter each time we see him. He is a competitor that always competes with the best. Also a more than capable kicker. He does a nice job on field goal. He hits an accurate ball off the ground and has 50+ yard range. His kickoffs are coming along nicely. look forward to seeing what the future holds. Matthew is a fine young man with a great attitude and work ethic. One of the hardest workers out there. Strong prospect. OFFER NOW!!! Great addition for Army.Aaron Perez (11-22):
Matthew has developed into a top punter in this class. His overall power, consistency and ability has increased dramtically since he began years back. Matthew is physically more impressive and at the Fall Seattle Punt Camp he demonstrated his talents. Matthew hit punts of 41 4.31, 45 4.35, 48 4.75 and 49 4.61 during open-field work. Matthew has transitioned into a pure two-step punter as well and his footwork and rhythm is impressive. Directionally Matthew is solid and he crushed a 44 4.44 going right with a sub 1.4 get off. He averaged 41.6 yards a punt on 6 punts during charting with his best being 48 4.03. Matthew will be a solid college punter and I can not wait to see where he ends up. He is a top young man and the future is bright!
