The Chris Sailer Award
Presented to the National High School Placekicker of the Year
Chris Sailer played high school football for Notre Dame Sherman Oaks High School in California from 1992-1994. In 1994 he set the then all time national record for field goals made in a season with 22. That record still stood until 2011 (Cole Hedlund 25) 7 of those 22 field goals came from 50+ yards, including a long of 58. He helped his team to a CIF championship along the way. His historical high school career landed him a full ride scholarship to UCLA where he went on to be a two-time All-American.
The National High School Placekicker of the Year is named in honor of Chris Sailer for his outstanding high school career and his continued role in the development of young athletes. Chris is now the most prominent private kicking and punting coach in America. He trains and mentors hundreds of high school, college, and professional specialists giving back to the sport and shaping the lives of aspiring athletes.
The Awards will be announced and presented on an annual basis to the very best national high school Placekicker and Long Snapper for that given season at an Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, NV.

Blake Ferguson
GA
Ferguson looked very confident and consistent at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in GA. He is becoming like a machine. His misses are by inches and he is VERY consistent with the speed of the ball. He doesn't over-snap the ball and seems very focused on hitting the perfect spot with every snap. Like to see him put on a bit more weight, continue to keep his weight back and snap just one ball at a time. When one snap is done, it is done. Perfectionist. Beyond ready for the next level. 11/14

Liam McCullough
OH
The more I watch Liam snap the ball, the more I am impressed with him. He absolutely rips the ball back to the punter. You almost feel bad for the guy that stands 15 yards back from Liam. I have timed him in the MID .5s and I am very strict with my timing. Passes the eye ball test quickly and is very cerebral with his Long Snapping. Love to see him make sure he is always reaching all the way back to get a bit more accurate and consistent with his punt snaps. I want no misses from him. Only issue he ever has is if he hands stop short. Kid is excellent and dominant. 11/14

AJ Carty
CA
Carty is flat out great and was dominant at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in CA. He is massive and looks like a college Long Snapper right now. Snaps, consistently, in the mid .6s and is on target. Ended up winning the whole camp with great accuracy and speed. Love to see him widen out just a tad to be more comfortable and increase his ability to get through more. Focusing on athleticism will be key as well. Tremendous attitude. He is ready for college right now.
