Player Review

Key did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a thick and strong Long Snapper that is very methodical in what he does with his snapping. VERY consistent with each snap as they always look the same....which is good but will be great soon. Love to see Key work on increasing his athleticism quite a bit so he can be a true factor in punt coverage. Also, making sure he always follows through and snaps with full power will be key. Key is right on the cusp of greatness.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
